Josh (Patrick Wilson), his wife Renai (Rose Byrne) and their three children have just moved into an old house. But, after an unfortunate accident, one of the children goes into a coma and, at the same time, strange phenomena begin to occur in the house that terrify the family.


THE PLOT

The Night of the Demon (2010) is a horror film directed by James Wan that tells the story of a family moving into their new home, where strange things begin to happen. Josh, his wife Reani and their three children are already installed in their new home when their eldest son falls into a coma without explanation. That's when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house that terrify the family.

A medium checks the house but tells them that it is not a typical case of a haunted house, but of evil forces trying to take over their son's body while his soul is trapped somewhere between life and death in the astral dimension. His father will have to leave his own body and enter the afterlife to try to save him.

SCORE

I liked this movie. It has very good performances, but if I have to highlight something is the effects, and the characterization of the characters. For example, the horror makeup and costumes. It is a classic modern horror that traps you in its plot, plus there are very good scenarios that help make the film more interesting for the audience. A positive point is the soundtrack that with each sound conveys a sense of real terror. In conclusion it is a very good movie that meets my expectations of what a real horror movie is. I give it an 8/10. 


WOULD I RECOMMEND IT?

If you are a person who likes to be scared a lot this movie is for you, I think it is a movie with very good horror scenes. It is a movie that will make you hug the person next to you, because everything around the movie is great and it is very well made, so I recommend this movie for when you are bored you can see it.

    I remember watched it at a friend's house and it was very scary. I recommend you watch it, it's very exciting.
